Florence Ann Bonham, age 78, a lifelong resident of Columbiaville passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 in Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Florence was born October 16, 1939 to Max and Dorothy (Brown) Farner in Lapeer, MI. She graduated from Lakeville High School in 1957. On January 10, 1959 she married Larry Bonham. Together they owned and operated The Alibi Bar in Columbiaville for 16 years. They also enjoyed traveling with their harness racehorses. Florence enjoyed playing BINGO, traveling and going to casinos. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Florence is survived by: her daughter, Becky McKone of Columbiaville; siblings, Doris (Glenn) Hartt of Otisville, Max (Judy) Farner of Otisville and Debbie (Tom) Smith of Columbiaville; grandson, Brandon McKone of Burton; in-laws, Jim Curtis, Barb (Jim) Nevers and Bill (Candy) Bonham; son-in-law, Russ McKone; and many nieces and nephews.
Florence was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Larry; son, Larry; siblings, Maxine Curtis, Sheila Swadling, Bill Farner and Jim Farner.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a gathering on Wednesday, March 28th from 2 pm to 5 pm with a Memorial Service at 5 pm at Jansen Family Funeral Home in Columbiaville. Florence will be laid to rest with her husband, Larry at a later date.
