Larry Ray Stone, age 61, of Otter Lake earned his wings on December 15, 2019 surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Larry was born May 14, 1958 in Flint, Michigan to the late Ilie and Opal Stone. He worked for 27 years at Lapeer Metal & Stamping, he held his journeyman’s card in tool & die. After Lapeer Metal & Stamping closed he finished out his career as an automotive service manager and automotive retail manager. Larry served as a UAW Union Steward for 27 years. Larry’s lifetime passion was traveling and riding his motorcycle. He was a gentle loving man who loved to hunt, fish, do woodwork, but his favorite time was spent with his family and friends. Larry was respected by those who shared his ventures; He made friends wherever he went. He loved to joke, laugh, and have fun. He was a proud member of the Lapeer Eagle Riders and Sons of the Legion.
Larry is survived by is wife Jessica, children: Kolyn (Sarah) Stone, KC (Angel) Stone, Jhenna (Nick) Strong, Cheyenne (Christian B.) Ruby, sister Lisa Stone Jones, his beloved grandchildren: Aria, Braxton, Dahlia, Konner, Harper, Diesel, Mila, Harlan, Quil, Jarron, many cousins, as well as his “2nd wife” Tracy, along with special friend & traveling companion Vicki, together they attended many charitable events and made many memories.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Larry’s Life will take place 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville (Casual attire preferred), where friends may visit 11:00 AM till time of service. The family would like to express much love and gratitude to the many doctors and nurses who cared so greatly and gave so much effort during the last several months.
