Betty-Jean Marie Biggert, age 73, of Columbiaville died March 24, 2021 with family beside her at home.
Betty-Jean was born March 9, 1948 in Bad Axe, Michigan to the late George and Margaret Fleming. After graduation, Betty-Jean and her best friend moved to Flint to start X-ray school at St. Joe Hospital where she continued to work for 40 plus years before retiring in 2009 from Genesys in Grand Blanc. She married James Biggert on April 18, 1970 and together they started a family. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball and was good at it. She loved to play 2nd base, and even played in some co-ed tournaments. She also enjoyed deer hunting, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her grandson.
Betty-Jean is survived by her son David, grandson Zachary, ex-daughter-in-law Sarah, brother Rick (Lauren) Fleming and niece Amanda, sister-in-law Jackie Powell and many other nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother George, sister-in-law Barb and brother-in-law Joe.
Cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Betty-Jeans life will be held by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville.
