Linda Merwin

Obituary of Linda Marie Merwin

Linda Marie Merwin (Santana),70, of Mason, MI, passed away on April 21, 2021 with her daughters, Sarah (Lattig) and Rebekah (Losey), by her side.

Linda was born on April 18, 1951 in Lansing, MI to Adelina Santana and Ysidro Garcia.

Linda was the best mom, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Linda dedicated herself to being a giving soul to all, and possessed a loving spirit towards everyone that she met. Linda was friendly and genuine by nature, and always made you feel like she cared, even when she said very little.

Linda’s pride and joys were her amazing and beautiful daughters and grandchildren. Sarah and Rebekah considered Linda the best mom and friend ever imaginable. The three of them had recently returned home after a week of traveling northern Michigan, where they spent their time appreciating and admiring the incredible beauty of nature and life. They reminisced on past memories while making plenty of new ones, which Sarah and Rebekah will lovingly cherish for the rest of their lives.

Linda’s four grandchildren, Derrik, Jeremy, Taylor and Marcus, have all been gifted the unwavering love and support of a grandmother who never failed to make it known just how much she cared for them. Linda spoke often about her beautiful and talented grandkids, and she could not have been any prouder of them.

Linda lived her life with an abundance of love and goodness, never having regret or sorrow. We celebrate Linda as she leaves this earth, but not our lives. Linda was a proud organ donor, and she requested no services. A Memorial of Life Service will be planned at a later date.
