Dave McFarlane of Columbiaville, age 75, died peacefully with his wife and daughters at his side. He was loved by many and always had a smile, a hug, and a ready handshake for all.
Dave was born in Flushing, Michigan and moved to Columbiaville in 1956. Dave graduated from LakeVille Memorial High School in 1964 and married his high school sweetheart, Debbie Long, in 1966. Dave joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He was a master electrician and retired from Buick after 44 years.
Dave had a passion for his dogs, being a master flyball box loader for the Ballistics Fly Ball Team, and anything relating to the Caribbean.
Dave is survived by Debbie, his wife of 55 years, daughters: Deana (Dan) Turcott, Jennifer (Bryan) Dec, grandsons Garrett, Peyton, Carson Dec and Zane Turcott. A Celebration of Dave’s Life will take place 3:00 PM on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville, where friends may visit 1:00 PM till the time of service.
