Dennis was born on June 22, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan to the late George and Virginia Kinnie. After graduating college he processed his career path as a Semi truck driver for Kinnie-Annex, a family owned company. He worked there for 55 years from 1967 to 2022. Dennis left a mark everywhere he went, everyone knew him for his driving force and his outstanding work ethic. He always made sure and encouraged everyone to work just as hard as he did. He loved his work family ( Eric Kinnie, Keri Kinnie, William Kinnie and many more). On October 8th, 1976 Dennis married his sweetheart Maureen (Mo) at St. Andrews Church in Rochester Hills Mi. On July 23, 1977 (Ryan) September 12, 1982 (Aaron) and December 1, 1983 (Lauren) respectively, he welcomed his two handsome sons and his one and only beautiful daughter who were all the light of his life.
Dennis was a devoted father and husband who loved summertime, that was his favorite season. He would take his Rv and go camping at different places around Michigan with his best friend and soulmate Maureen and his beloved dog Bella. His passion was coming home during the summer and working on his pool year after year. He loved watching to see which one of the grandkids would be the first to jump in the cold pool after it was done filling up. Dennis enjoyed having family gatherings at his home and watching everyone laugh, play and have the time of their lives. He was always on the go, you couldn’t stop him from doing anything and his house/yard/pool is what he put his heart into so his family would have something to enjoy. Every chance he got after working long hours he would come to his two oldest grandsons Baseball or football games because he shared the same love for those sports as his grandson’s did. Papa was always there cheering on all his grand babies. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. He left a mark on this earth that is unmatched and can never be replaced.
At this time cremation services will take place and a Celebration of life is set for Dennis on July 9, 2022 (more information in the coming days).
