Obituary of Charlene Mae Wilcox-Brown

Charlene Mae Wilcox Brown was born March 5, 1962 in Lansing, Michigan to Nina Lila Rolston and Delbert Charles Simmerman. Charlene enjoyed cooking and baking for friends, family, and neighbors. She was fond of animals and cared for many pets, both wild and domestic, through the years. She took pleasure in painting, crafts, movies, and country music. Above all, she treasured spending time with family and friends. Charlene received the Lord as her personal savior, which gave her the strength, courage and hope to endure her illness. Surrounded by her loving family, she was called home to be with the Lord on the morning of May 9, 2022 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. She was age 60. Charlene is survived by her husband, Timothy J. Brown, and their son Christopher J. Wilcox, her former spouse Jeff Wilcox and their sons: Michael C. (Sabrina) Wilcox and David R. Wilcox, her brother: LeRoy (Sandra) Rolston, her sisters: Tina (Terry) Olmstead and Rhonda (Carl) Bowers, her grandchildren: Sakari, Reina, Maelie, Jordan, Khalise and Kaylin, and many nephews and nieces. Charlene Mae Wilcox Brown was preceded in death by her parents Nina L. Rolston and Delbert C. Simmerman, Roy M. Rolston, and sisters: Phyllis A. Ward and Emma J. Rolston, and brother: Dennis W. Simmerman.

Funeral service 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at River of Life Church, 2495 Cedar Street, Holt, Michigan 48842, where family and friends may visit 2:00 PM till the time of service at church.  Pastor Brigitte Brown officiating.  Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville.
