The Richest Fields of Beauty, September 1965
The richest fields of beauty beneath the heaven's blue,
In God's given heritage for you and I to reap.
But, do not wander blind, my son, along life's path of mellow hue;
Cast your eyes and treasure, it is yours forever to keep.
Many have sought wealth and fortune from these golden grains,
Still others reaped hatred and contempt of fellow man; However great their fields may be, their harvest never came.
For the richest fields of beauty you see, are sown of life within, This life reaping blossoms of courage and wisdom and truth.
The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few.
Julie Krusell, 15 years old
