Robert John Cook age 71, of Silverwood, MI, died September 16, 2022, at United Hospice Residence in Marlette.  

Robert was born March 15, 1951, in Kingston, Michigan, to Rev. Robert  & Joan (Altom) Cook. He Later married his loving wife Gail Bedard. Robert proudly served his community as the Dayton Township Supervisor for the past 14 years and Zoning Administrator prior to that. He also took great pride in being President of the Thumb Draft Horse Association for many years. Robert had a love and passion for horses and loved parading his draft mules, Henry and Harley; you could find him every year giving wagon rides at Christmas at Pennywick Christmas tree Farm. He enjoyed hunting and had knowledge of many things, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.


Robert is survived by his wife Gail, children: Keri (Joe) TerBush, Kirt (Meranda) Cook, Michelle (Ray) Gonzalez, John Caron, siblings, Carolyn (Clyde) Stansbury, David (Lisa) Cook, Kathryn (Tim) Shelton, Sharon (Larry) Westerman, grandchildren: Terra, Michael, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Tanner, Ethan, Evie, Madilynn, and great-grandchild: Trinity. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Dan Cook

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for Robert will be held at 1:00 PM on  Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Dayton Center Church, Silverwood, MI, Larry Schwarck Officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.  Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville.
