Obituary of Donald Francis Solosky

Donald Francis Solosky, age 80 of Metamora died January 7, 2023 at home.  

Donald was born January 12, 1942 in Hamtramck, the son of the late Edward and Frances
Solosky [Grzybowski]. Donald served his country honorably in the U.S. Coast Guard, and was active in the Cuban Missile blockade. He retired from Chrysler’s Jefferson North Plant in 1999 after 35 years of work. Donald enjoyed playing cards, watching sports, but most of all spending time with his family and friends.

Donald is survived by his sons: Brian and David, grandchildren: Jasmyne, Jacob, Brandon, great-grandchildren: Jose, Blake, Xavier, Zayden, and Ezra.   He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, and brother Dennis. 

Cremation has taken place and Donald’s cremains will be placed at Great Lakes National Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or any local veterans organization.
