Obituary of Nina Nevskaya

Nevskaya Nina Ivanovna, age 94, of North branch died March 6, 2023 at home with family beside her. 

Nina was born February 28, 1929 in Vysokoye, Kazakhstan to the late Ivan and Yekaterina Trofimovy.  She was baptized in the Russian Orthodox faith.  She served in the Labor Force for the Soviet Union during WWII.  She had earned her PHD in Organic Chemistry, and was the leading associate professor at Polytechnical Institute, now known as Polytechnical University in Khabarovsk City.   In 1995 she retired from the Academy of Science in Kazakhstan.   She enjoyed singing, sewing, reading, listening to classical music, embroidery, crosswords, traveling, and working on her flower gardens. 

Nina is survived by her children: Aleksander and Yekaterina, 2 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Zoya, Lidia, Petr, Aleksander, Valentine, and cousin Svetlana Petrova.
