Obituary of John Phillip Knop

John “Corky” Knop, age 74, of Fostoria died March 11, 2023 at Fisher Senior Care in Mayville.

John was born July 11, 1948 in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Arthur and Eleanor Knop. 
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.  John retired from the Chrysler Tech Center in Auburn Hills, and was an avid car enthusiast that could be found working on old cars or admiring them at a car show.  He absolutely loved spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoyed their annual Nacho Fest at Christmas Time. 

John is survived by his wife Linda, children: Aaron (Darycka) Knop, Michelle (Jason) Drenzek, 5 grandchildren: Ruby, Ella, Andrew, Michael, Cameron, and many nieces & nephews.  John is also survived by his cats Fred & Barney.   He was preceded in death by his parents, son Andrew, siblings: Robert, Arthur ”Sam”, Alma, and close friend Floyd. 

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.  Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville.  Memorial contributions in memory of John may be made to Paradise Animal Rescue.  Share memories, condolences, and pictures with the family at www.jansenfuneralhome.com.
