Thomas Crooks, age 76, of Columbiaville, formerlyof Lansing died October 7, 2019 at home with his family beside him.
Thomas was born March 20, 1943 in Flint, Michigan to the late Harry and Virginia [Mays] Crooks. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam, and was a member of Mount Hope Presbyterian Church in Lansing, and a Past Master of Masonic Lodge #33 of the Free and Accepted Masons in Lansing. Thomas was also a member of the Lions Club, and Rose Society of Lansing. He was a master gardener, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Thomas is survived by his children Jeffrey (Cathey) Crooks, Heather Crooks, siblings: Mary Crooks, Gale Crooks, Clayton (Donna) Crooks, Kay (Robert) Carrasco, 5 grandchildren: Olivia, Grace, Graeme, Evan, Azalea, great-grandchild Elisha, aunt Edith Mays, and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial celebration of Thomas’s life will take place 3:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Mount Hope Presbyterian Church, 301 W. Jolly Road, Lansing, Michigan, where friends may visit 1 hour prior to services. Rev. Tony Patrick officiating. Interment of cremains will take place at Hollenbeck cemetery.
